Desperate to c onnect with her niece Annabelle  pries the lock open revealing a beautiful music box.   Each time the music box is wound and replayed i t's s  urprisingl y chilling m elody plays s  light ly longer, c aptivating Soph ie even mo re.  When t he music box begins aff ectin g Sop  hie's  behavior and health Annabelle seeks the aid of a child psych ologi st and clairvoyant w ho soon discover the music box is posse ssed by an evil spirit who  seeks to haunt Sophie and destroy Annabelle.
